Art with Ms. Pishone Art with Ms. Pishone is pretty fun. When we walk inside and sit down she tells us about a new project or she just let's us go to work. Usually she tries to add more information about the current project and then let's us get to work. The class is pretty much my favorite because I kind of like art and it is a fun class. Sometimes I don't like the class because we have such little time to do projects and I usually get a bad grade because I turn everything in late.

Clay Animal Pinch Pot
We are currently working on a project with clay. We are assigned to make a clay pinch pot and then make an animal, person, or monster out of it. At first I was going to make and eskomo person, but then I thought it would be easier to make a bear. Then I thought that it would look better as a bat. Right now I am almost done. I have made the tongue come out like the picture on the left and the eyes on the sides. I put teeth and just need wings to put and then I am done. The project is due tomorrow, Wednesday. When I finish today, I will give it to Ms. Pishone and then she will fire it and it will be done.
The first thing we had to do was make a pinch pot out of clay. We had to make a ball and then squish our thumb through the middle. Others did there pinch pots a different shape but I did mine as a circle. I then pinched the sides to shape the pot. Then it was a circle. I made on big circle ball and cut it in half, those were the eyes. I made another ball of clay and then flattened it with a rolling pin, that was the tongue. I made another ball and rolled it out, then I used a knife to cut two little triangles, the teeth. I then got this liquid called "slip". Before I applied the slip to the clay I had to score what I was going to attach.
Slip is a liquid we use to attach one piece of clay to another. To score, we need to get a need and scratch the part your applying slip to. You also need to score the place where you are attaching the clay. After you score it, you apply the slip to the piece and then attach the piece. Then you have to get some clay and mold it in between the two pieces so that it looks like both pieces are one. I did all these things and my pinch pot looks good. I just need to make and apply the wings and tomorrow I will give it to Ms. Pishone to fire, after it dries.

Doodle Art
Ms. Pishone assigned us to do a project called Doodle Art. This was by far my favorite art project to do beause I love to doodle little things, and it was probably the easiest project and I just didn't have much time to finish the project, but I think I did pretty well on the doodles I had on the paper. We had to get a white or black piece of paper and draw whatever came to our mind. Pishone let us listen to music so our we could just be more in touch with our minds.
