Spanish I with Senor Aberle In Spanish, we have a set of words each couple of weeks. At the end we have a test on all the words and how to spell them. Mr. Aberle says a sentence in English and picks one of us to say the sentence in Spanish. Sometimes we play games and get tickets or candy if we win. It is really fun in Mr. Aberle's room, especially when we are playing games. Mr. Aberle gives us these red tickets if we answer a question right or something else. If we have 12 tickets, then we can trade them in for a full size candy bar! Sometimes we use Rostta Stone, but not so often. Only on some days we get to use our computers to do the activites.

Spanish Alphabet
The Spanish alphabet has more letters than the English alphabet. It also has different sounds to each letter. Like a, we say either ah or a. In Spanish it is just ah. The spanish alphabet has 29 letters, sounds, and the english alphabet has 26. Spanish has more because it has sounds as well as letters. If you look at the picture, there is a CH, LL, and an N with a little line over it. In the english language CH is not a part of the alphabet, nor is LL or the N. The little line over the N means more sound or "presure" on the letter. If we didn't have the line over the N it would sound a little different. In some words, if the n in one word has a line over it, it means it's feminine. But that is only with some words.
The Spanish alphabet is very simple and interesting. It may be simple for me, but for some people they take one look at it and think they cannot learn it. In my opinion, if you know the alphabet, then you can read in Spanish. Spanish is really easy for me because I am around Spanish all the time! My family on my dad's side speaks nothing but Spanish. I hear words I don't know; I ask what it means. Spanish is an easy language if you try hard.
